Airport System Integration Experience

System Integration services has been our core business focus since our inception until now.
OAS team comprises of consultants on an individual basis that have successfully integrated airport systems in airports such as KLIA, Istanbul, Boston Logan, Sydney and Incheon. OAS team’s experiences gathered from implementing airport integration projects locally and internationally have allowed OAS to develop a solid, proven and unique approach towards airport IT systems integration.
The foundation project for most of the OAS’s consultant involvement in airports was the design, development and delivery of the core systems for Total Airport Management System (TAMS) at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, KLIA. KLIA was the world first airport with the highest level of systems integration. The TAMS’ core systems which the consultants involved were:
Ø    Management Information System (MIS) & Central Database (CDB)
Ø    Airport Operation Center (AOC)
Ø    Crisis Control Center (CCC)
Ø    Network Management Center (NMC)
Ø    Passenger Check-In Processing System (PCPS)

Following the successful delivery and KLIA airport opening in 1998, OAS consultants on the individual basis continued to share their experiences and pursue their career in implementation of airport integration services globally, some of the projects implemented are as follows:

Ø    Istanbul Ataturk International Airport, Turkey:
Integration and Central Database Project. The solution implemented was similar to the solution developed for KLIA which consist of the Information Broker (IB) and Central Database to integrate with the various new and existing systems in Ataturk Airport. OAS consultant’s experiences were in design, development and installation of airport suite of product and integration to 12 core systems.

Ø    Incheon International Airport, South Korea:
Airport Information Management System (AIMS) project which also implemented similar IB concept that integrates over 88 critical airport sub-systems. OAS consultants were involved in the consultancy for Samsung SDS to review the design of the Information Broker, IT Model; Test and Integration Plan; Operational Concept; Interface Control Working Group and Commissioning Plan.

Ø    Boston Logan International Airport, USA:
Master Systems Integration Project. As part of Massport’s Boston Logan Modernization project, the scope was to deliver systems and integration services as an element within the International Gateway project.  Part of the scope is also to provide ongoing solution assessment for the integration of other sub-systems and testing of the interoperability of the major sub-systems which comprises of legacy and non-legacy systems.
For this initiative, a Laboratory was set-up in Boston Logan International Airport.

Ø    India Airports, Delhi & Hyderabad International Airports:
Our consultant was part of GMR’s Airport Operations & Maintenance Team to manage the IT&C   operations, governance & security of the airports’ systems.

Ø    Damascus International Airport, Syrian Arab Republic:
OAS was part of team under Muhibbah Engineering & KLIACS, to Rehabilitate and Upgrade the Existing Passenger Terminal Building at Damascus International Airport. OAS was awarded the works on Design, Development, Integration, Testing, Installation, Deployment, Training, and Documentations of the Common Use Passenger Check-In System for the International Terminal.

With the consultants collective skills and experience in complex systems integration, fast track implementation of projects and extensive experience in delivering varied airport solutions, puts OAS in a unique position to understand the complex requirements of a major international airport and our knowledge in implementing various integrated airport systems had enable us to assist in the implementation of an airport system integration project.

Apart from airports experiences, our consultants were highly knowledgeable in the Airline Passenger & Cargo IT Implementation & Operations, Ground Handling Operations, having served in various capacities with:
